How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.
Stand in awe, and sin not. Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all the day long. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me. My moisture was changed [as] with the drought of summer. Selah. I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to LORD, and thou forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
I call to remembrance my song in the night. I commune with my own heart, and my spirit makes diligent search.
Surely after that I was turned back. I repented, and after I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh. I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.
Again, when a wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live. He shall not die.
Now therefore thus says LORD of hosts: Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little. Ye eat, but ye have not enough. Ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink. Ye clothe yourselves, but there is none warm. And he who earns wages earns wages [to put] into a bag with holes. Thus says LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
But when he came to himself, he said, How many hired men of my father's have abundance of loaves, but I am perishing with hunger. After rising, I will go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight. I am no more worthy to be called thy son. Make me as one of thy hired men.read more.
And having risen, he went to his father. But while he was still distant, afar off, his father saw him and felt compassion. And having ran, he fell on his neck, and kissed him much. And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight. I am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his bondmen, Bring forth the best robe and clothe him, and give a ring for his hand, and shoes for his feet. And having brought the fatted calf, kill it, and having eaten, we will be cheerful, because this my son was dead, and became alive again. And he was lost, and is found. And they began to be cheerful.
Therefore whoever may eat this bread or drink the cup of the Lord unworthily of the Lord, will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and let him so eat of the bread, and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks condemnation to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.read more.
Because of this many are weak and sickly among you, and a considerable sleep. But if we were discerning ourselves we would not be judged.
since ye seek proof of the Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but is mighty in you. For even if he was crucified from weakness, yet he lives from the power of God. For we in him are also weak, but we will live with him from the power of God toward you. Examine yourselves whether ye are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or know ye not yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless ye are test-failing something.
But let each man examine his own work, and then he will have the boast in himself alone and not in the other man.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous so that he will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from every unrighteousness.
Because if our heart should condemn us, that God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart should not condemn us, we have confidence toward God,
Thou hypocrite, first take out the beam from thine own eye, and then thou will see clearly to take out the speck from thy brother's eye.
But let a man examine himself, and let him so eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
Examine yourselves whether ye are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or know ye not yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless ye are test-failing something.
