2 Bible Verses about Foolishness

And whoever heareth these words of mine, and performeth them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: and the rain fell upon it, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell, and the fall thereof was great. And when Jesus had ended these discourses, the people were amazed at his doctrine:

But why do ye call me, Lord, Lord, and do not practise what I teach you? Whosoever cometh unto me, and heareth my instructions, and observeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man who in building an house digged deep, and laid the foundation upon a rock; and when a flood came, the torrent beat violently against that house, but could not shake it, for it was founded upon a rock. read more.
But he that heareth and observeth not, is like a man that built an house upon the ground without any foundation, which the flood beat violently upon, and immediately it fell down, and the ruin of that house was great.

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputant of the age? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For, since in the wisdom of God the world by it's wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by what they called the folly of preaching to save those that believe. to the Jews indeed a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks foolishness; but to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God, as they call it, is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
