"Happy are the merciful: because they shall receive mercy.

but I say to you, Resist not the evil man; but whosoever smites you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also; and to him who is desirous that you should be sued at the law, and to take your coat, grant your cloak also; and whosoever shall impress you to go one mile, go with him two.read more.
Give to him asking you; and from him who wishes to borrow of you turn not away. Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and, if he repents, forgive him. And, if he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times turns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."
