For sin shall not rule over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace.

The law then against the promises of God? It may not be: for if a law had been given able to make alive, truly justice would be by the law. But the writing shut up all things under sin, that the promise from faith of Jesus Christ might be given to the believing.
(For the law completed nothing,) but the bringing in of a better hope; by which we draw near to God.
