Exodus 14:27-28

So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea returned to its normal depth. While the Egyptians were trying to escape from it, the Lord overthrew them in the sea. The waters came back and covered the chariots and horsemen, the entire army of Pharaoh, that had gone after them into the sea. None of them survived.

At Rephidim, Amalek came and fought against Israel. Moses said to Joshua, "Select some men for us, and go fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the hilltop with God's staff in my hand." The Lord will be at war with Amalek from generation to generation."

Numbers 21:1-3

When the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming on the Atharim road, he fought against Israel and captured some prisoners. Then Israel made a vow to the Lord, "If You will deliver this people into our hands, we will completely destroy their cities." The Lord listened to Israel's request, the Canaanites were defeated, and Israel completely destroyed them and their cities. So they named the place Hormah.

Joshua 6:2

The Lord said to Joshua, "Look, I have handed Jericho, its king, and its fighting men over to you.

Joshua 10:30

The Lord also handed it and its king over to Israel. He struck it down, putting everyone in it to the sword, and left no survivors in it. He treated Libnah's king as he had the king of Jericho.

Judges 7:9

That night the Lord said to him, "Get up and go into the camp, for I have given it into your hand.

The Lord left these nations and did not drive them out immediately. He did not hand them over to Joshua.

He makes nations great, then destroys them; He enlarges nations, then leads them away.
