Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge,

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;

so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,”

I shall make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, the praises of the Lord,
According to all that the Lord has granted us,
And the great goodness toward the house of Israel,
Which He has granted them according to His compassion
And according to the abundance of His lovingkindnesses.

For His lovingkindness is great toward us,
And the truth of the Lord is everlasting.

Then the woman said, "Please let your maidservant speak a word to my lord the king." And he said, "Speak." The woman said, "Why then have you planned such a thing against the people of God? For in speaking this word the king is as one who is guilty, in that the king does not bring back his banished one. "For we will surely die and are like water spilled on the ground which cannot be gathered up again Yet God does not take away life, but plans ways so that the banished one will not be cast out from him. But Jehoshabeath the king’s daughter took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons who were being put to death, and placed him and his nurse in the bedroom.
