He explained to them all the Scriptures about the things concerning him. He spoke about Moses and all the prophets.
This was the first miracle Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. It gave evidence of his glory and his disciples believed in him.
They said to each other: Were our hearts not burning within us? When he spoke to us in the way and opened the scriptures to us?
He said: These are my words that I spoke to you, while I was yet with you. All things must be fulfilled. They are things that are written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning me. He opened their minds that they might understand the scriptures.

Forgive us our sins. For we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And keep us from temptation.
He told them: The secret of the kingdom of God is given to you. Illustrations are spoken to outsiders. So that seeing they may see and not perceive. And hearing they may hear and not understand. Otherwise they might repent and be forgiven.
He spoke only with illustrations. However he made all things clear to his disciples in private.
Turning to the disciples, he said privately: Blessed are the eyes that see the things you see. I tell you many prophets and kings desired to see the things you see and did not see them. To hear the things you hear and did not hear them.
He told them come into a secluded place and rest a while. For there were many people coming and going and they had no leisure time.
From that time forward Jesus made it clear to his disciples how he would have to go to Jerusalem. He told them he would undergo much at the hands of the authorities, including the chief priests and scribes. He let them know he would be put to death. The third day he would come back from the dead.
