But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting; for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord, a doubleminded man as he is, unstable in all his ways.

And Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, and took hold of him, and said to him, Thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt?

And when Pilate saw that it availed nothing, but that rather a tumult was arising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of this blood; see ye to it. And all the people answering said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then he released Barabbas to them, and having scourged Jesus, he delivered him up to be crucified.

And Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release to you the king of the Jews? For he knew that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up. But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should rather release to them Barabbas.read more.

But ye have a custom that I should release to you one at the passover: do ye desire, therefore, that I release to you the king of the Jews?
