There are varieties of gifts, but the Spirit is the same in all; there are varieties of service, but the Lord to be served is the same; there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who does all things by putting energy in us all.
As we have gifts that differ in accordance with the favor God has shown us, if it is that of preaching, let it be done in proportion to our faith; or of practical service, in the field of service; or of a teacher, in the field of teaching; or of one who encourages others, in the field of encouragement; or one who gives his money, with liberality; or one who leads others, with earnestness; or one who does deeds of charity, with cheerfulness.
To one, wise speech is given by the Spirit; to another, by the same Spirit, intelligent speech is given; to another, through union with the same Spirit, faith; to another, by one and the same Spirit, power to cure the sick; to another, power for working wonders; to another, prophetic insight; to another, the power to discriminate between the true Spirit and false spirits; to another, various ecstatic utterances; and to another, the power to explain them.read more.
But the one and same Spirit accomplishes all these achievements, and apportions power to each of us as He chooses.
And He has given some men to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be pastors and teachers,
while God continued to confirm their testimony with signs, marvels, and various sorts of wonder-works, and with gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed in accordance with His will.
As all of you have received your spiritual talents, you must keep on using them in serving one another, as good trustees of God's many-sided favor.
"For it is just like a man who was going on a long journey from his homeland, who called to him his slaves and turned his property over to them. He gave one five thousand dollars, another two thousand, another one thousand, to each in accordance with his ability. Then he started on his long journey.

For just as we have many parts united in our physical bodies, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are united in one body through union with Christ, and we are individually parts of one another.
The eye cannot say to the hand, "I do not need you," or the hand to the feet, "I do not need you." while our well-shaped parts do not want for anything. Yes, God has perfectly adjusted the body, giving great honor to its apparently inferior parts, so that there is no disharmony in the body, but all the parts have a common care for one another. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it. If one part receives an honor, all the parts can share its joy.
Now through the unmerited favor God has shown me I would say to every one of you not to estimate himself above his real value, but to make a sober rating of himself, in accordance with the degree of faith which God has apportioned to him.
Stop acting from motives of selfish strife or petty ambition, but in humility practice treating one another as your superiors.
And they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship with one another, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
And all the believers lived together and held all they had as common goods to be shared by one another.
For none of them was in want, for as many of them as were owners of farms or houses proceeded to sell them, one by one, and continued to bring the money received for the things sold and to put it at the disposal of the apostles; then distribution was continuously made to everyone in proportion to his need.
For I do not want it to be a relief for others and a burden on you, but through an equalizing of matters in the present crisis I do want your abundance to relieve their need, that some day their abundance may relieve your need, so that equality may exist --
For through the test you get by doing this service you will continue praising God for your fidelity to your confession of the good news of Christ, and for the liberality of your contributions to them and all others;
And stop neglecting to do good and to be generous, for God is highly pleased with just such sacrifices as these.
