Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hid in a field, which a man having found conceals, and being rejoiced at it goes and sells all that he has, and purchases that field.

confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and telling them that through many afflictions we must enter into the kingdom of God.

And a certain scribe came to Him, and said, Master, I will follow Thee whithersoever Thou goest: and Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the fowls of heaven their nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking precious pearls, who, having found one of great value, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

And He said unto them, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive manifold more even in this life, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be who go in thereat: whereas the gate is narrow, and the way troublesome, which leadeth into life, and few there be that find it.

But wo unto you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites, who shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, nor suffer those that are entering to go in.

And if thy hand cause thee to offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands, to go into hell, into the fire that will never be extinguished; where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot cause thee to offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life lame, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the inextinguishable fire;read more.
And if thine eye cause thee to offend, cast it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell-fire;

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, such as, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strifes, emulations, animosities, contentions, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and the like: of which I forewarn you, as I have also told you before, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, (who is an idolater,) hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Watch therefore, for ye know not at what hour your Lord cometh: but this ye know, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broke open: therefore be ye also ready; for the Son of man cometh at a time that ye think not of.

for as the days of Noah were, so shall be also the coming of the Son of man; for as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not of it till the deluge came and took them all away; so shall be also the coming of the Son of man.

And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They were eating, drinking, marrying, and being married, till the day that Noah went into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Watch therefore, for ye know not the day, nor the season in which the Son of man cometh.

Let your loins be girt, and your lights burning, and ye yourselves like men waiting for their lord's return from a wedding, that they may immediately open the door to him, when he comes and knocks. Happy are those servants, whom the master when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he will gird himself, and make them sit down, and will come and serve them.read more.
And if he come in the second watch, or in the third watch, and find them so, happy indeed are those servants. giving thanks unto the Father, who hath made us meet for a portion of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son:

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's pleasure to give you the kingdom.

and I appoint you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me: that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And lifting up his eyes on his disciples He said, Blessed are ye though poor; for the kingdom of God is yours.

Then said Jesus to his disciples, Verily I tell you, that a rich man shall with difficulty enter into the kingdom of heaven: and again I tell you, It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

And Jesus looking round about saith to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus repeating it, saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them, that trust in riches, to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, He said, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God? For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Hear, my beloved brethren; hath not God chosen the poor of this world who are rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which He hath promised to them that love Him? but ye have slighted the poor.

Weep now, ye rich men, and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you.

but Jesus said, Suffer the children to come to me, and do not hinder them: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Which Jesus observing, was much displeased, and said to them, Let the children come to me; and hinder them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.

But Jesus called them to Him and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Which Jesus hearing, saith unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are ill: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

But Jesus hearing them, said unto them, They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill: go therefore and learn what that means, "I desire mercy rather than sacrifice:" for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Now which of the two did the will of his father? They say unto Him, The first. Jesus replied, Verily I say unto you, that publicans and prostitutes enter into the kingdom of God before you:

Blessed are they, who are persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and reject you, and reproach you, and cast out your name as infamous on account of the Son of man. Rejoice in that day, and be exceeding glad; for behold, your reward is great in heaven: for thus did their fathers to the prophets.

but I tell you, that many shall come from the east and from the west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven;

Therefore I tell you, that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation, that will bring forth the fruits thereof.

Then saith he to his servants, The feast is ready, but they that were invited were not worthy of it: go therefore into the public streets, and as many as ye meet with invite to the wedding. And those servants went out into the high-ways, and brought in all they met with, both bad and good: and the wedding was filled with guests.
