Even so, if thine eye offend thee, pluck him out. It is better for thee to go into the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire:

For before the harvest, when the branch is grown, there shall come ripe fruit out of the flower: and he shall cut down the increase with the scythes, and the branches shall he take away with hooks.

I am the true vine, and my father is a husbandman. Every branch that beareth not fruit in me, he will take away. And every branch that beareth fruit will he purge, that it may bring more fruit.
