25 Bible Verses about Lameness

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of those that entered into the temple,

The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended in me.

And a certain man sat at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked;

And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled, and it came to pass as she made haste to flee that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

And the king said, Is there no one left of the house of Saul that I may show the mercy of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, There remains a son of Jonathan, who is lame on his feet.

I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every sickness and every bodily weakness among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with diverse diseases and torments and those who were possessed with devils and those who were lunatic and those that were paralyzed; and he healed them.

and saying, Lord, my servant lies at home paralyzed, grievously tormented. And Jesus said unto him, I will come and heal him.

And again he entered into Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that he was in the house. And soon many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door; and he preached the word unto them. And they came unto him, bringing a paralytic, carried by four men.read more.
And when they could not come near unto him for the crowd, they uncovered the roof of the house where he was; and when they had broken it open, they let down the bed in which the paralytic lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the paralytic, Son, thy sins are forgiven thee. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there and thinking in their hearts, Why does this fellow so blaspheme? Who can forgive sins but God only? And Jesus, knowing afterward in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said unto them, Why think ye these things in your hearts? What is easier to say to the paralytic, Thy sins are forgiven thee, or to say, Arise and take up thy bed and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins (he spoke to the sick of the palsy), I say unto thee, Arise and take up thy bed and go to thy house. And by and by he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, We never saw anything like unto this.

And many people came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many other sick and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them, insomuch that the multitude wondered when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see, and they glorified the God of Israel.

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.read more.
And all the people saw him walking and praising God, and they knew that it was he who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

For many unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of those who were possessed with them, and many paralytics and that were lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city.

And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been in bed eight years, for he was a paralytic. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, the Lord Jesus, the Christ, makes thee whole; arise and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

And if thy foot causes thee to fall, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter halt into life than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that can never be quenched,

Then the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, who dwelt in the land, who spoke unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in here, thinking, David cannot come in here. Nevertheless, David took the fortress of Zion; the same is the city of David. And David said on that day, Who shall go up the waterspout and smite the Jebusites and the lame and the blind, that are hated of David's soul? Therefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.

Therefore, lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight steps unto your feet, so that which is lame will not turn out of the way, but let it rather be healed.

Like unto the way that the one who is lame walks, so is a proverb in the mouth of the fool.

Then the lame one shall leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall praise; for waters shall be dug in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

And if there is any blemish in it, if it is lame or blind or has any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.

Ye offer polluted bread upon my altar; and ye say, In what have we polluted thee? In that ye say, We die of hunger in the service of the LORD. And when ye offer the blind animal for sacrifice, is it not evil? Likewise when ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy prince; will he be pleased with thee or accept thy person? said the LORD of the hosts.
