17 Bible Verses about Like Children

I declare unto you, he that shall pretend to be admitted into the kingdom of God, and has not the temper of a little child, shall not enter therein.

I declare unto you, he that does not come with the disposition of a child shall not enter into the kingdom of God.

and said, I declare to you, except ye lay aside your ambition, and become as children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of the Messias.

he therefore who shall become as void of ambition as this child, he shall be greatest in the kingdom of the Messiah.

but Jesus said, let the children alone, and don't hinder them from coming to me: for of such does the gospel-kingdom consist.

which Jesus observing was much displeas'd with them, and said, suffer little children to come unto me, do not hinder them: for of such is the kingdom of God.

However, I could not speak to you, my brethren, as to the spiritual, or as to the dispassionate, but as to novices in christianity.

now he that is disciplined like a child, is not prepared for the doctrine of justification:

Brethren, be not childish in understanding: be as innocent as babes, but use your understanding like men.

but to what shall I compare this generation? they are like children sitting in the markets, and calling out to their fellows,

they are like children playing together in the street, who cry, we have play'd to you on the flute, but you have not danced: we have sung mournful dittys, but you have not lamented.

that we should be no longer children, fluctuating, and carried about with every empty doctrine, by men vers'd in sleight and the crafty arts of deceit:

when I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I reasoned as a child: but when I became a man, I laid aside my childish ways.

I address myself to you as a parent, be not you wanting in the returns of filial respect to me.
