If thou teachest a child in his youth what way he should go; he shall not leave it when he is old.
And ye fathers, move not your children to wrath: but bring them up with the nurture and information of the Lord.
Fathers, provoke not your children, lest they be of a desperate mind.

And when they were come to him, he said unto them, "Ye know from the first day that I came unto Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, serving the Lord with all humbleness of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which happened unto me by the layings wait of the Jews, and how I kept back nothing that was profitable: but that I have showed you, and taught you openly and at home in your houses,
I write not these things to shame you: but as my beloved sons, I warn you. For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ: yet have ye not many fathers. In Christ Jesus, I have begotten you through the gospel.

and such as cleaveth unto the true word of doctrine, that he may be able to exhort with wholesome learning, and to improve them that say against it.
The elders which are among you I exhort, which am also an elder and a witness of the afflictions of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be opened: see that ye feed Christ's flock, which is among you, taking the oversight of them: not as though ye were compelled thereto, but willingly; Not for the desire of filthy lucre, but of a good mind. Not as though ye were lords over the parishes: but that ye be an example to the flock.
Young men likewise exhort that they be sober minded. Above all things, show thyself an example of good works with uncorrupt doctrine, with honesty,
I have desired no man's silver, gold, or vesture. Ye know well that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to receive the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how that he said, 'It is more blessed to give, than to receive.'"
Wherefore I desire you to follow me. For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, which is my dear son, and faithful in the Lord, which shall put you in remembrance of my ways which I have in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in all congregations.
which ye have both learned and received, heard and also seen in me: those things do, and the God of peace shall be with you.
For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and also in the holy ghost and in much certainty, as ye know after what manner we behaved ourselves among you, for your sakes. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord: and received the word in much affliction, with joy of the holy ghost:
We desire you brethren warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, forbear the weak, have continual patience toward all men. See that none recompense evil for evil unto any man: but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
Him that is weak in the faith, receive unto you not in disputing and troubling his conscience. ]
But take heed that your liberty cause not the weak to fall. For if some man see thee, which hast knowledge, sit at meat in the idol's temple shall not the conscience of him which is weak be boldened to eat those things which are offered unto the idol? And so through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish for whom Christ died.read more.
When ye sin so against the brethren and wound their weak consciences, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore if meat hurt my brother, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, because I will not hurt my brother.
Brethren, if any man be fallen by chance into any fault, ye which are spiritual, help to amend him, in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burden; and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Wherefore, comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as ye do.
And the elder women likewise that they be in such raiment as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much drinking, but teachers of honest things, to make the young women soberminded, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be of discreet, chaste, housewifely, good, and obedient unto their own husbands, that the word of God be not evil spoken of.
and as newborn babes desire that reasonable milk which is without corruption, that ye may be grown therein.
I gave you milk to drink and not meat. For ye then were not strong - no, neither yet are strong.
Brethren, be not children in wit. Howbeit, as concerning maliciousness be children: but in wit be perfect.
Whereof we have many things to say which are hard to be uttered: because ye are dull of hearing. For when as concerning the time, ye ought to be teachers, yet have ye need again that we teach you the first principles of the word of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat: For every man that is fed with milk is inexpert in the word of righteousness: For he is but a babe.read more.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are perfect, which through custom have their wits exercised, to judge both good and evil also.
but grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord, and saviour Jesus Christ. To whom be glory both now and forever. Amen. {Here ends the Second General Epistle of Peter}
But we all behold the glory of the Lord with his face open, and we are changed unto the same similitude, from glory to glory, even of the spirit of the Lord.
But let us follow the truth in love, and in all things grow in him which is the head, that is to say Christ,
We are bound to thank God always for you brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and every one of you swimmeth in love toward another between yourselves,
