Jesus heard this and marveled at him. He turned to the crowd and said, I tell you I find no greater faith in Israel.
The Pharisee wondered about Jesus not bathing before dinner.
And they were all amazed and marveled. They said to each other: Behold, are not all these that speak Galileans?
A name was written on her forehead, a mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the abominations of the earth. I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the holy ones, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her I wondered greatly. The angel said: Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.
When Jesus heard it, he was amazed, and said to the crowd: I tell you, I have not found such great faith in Israel.
The disciples were in awe. They asked: What kind of man is this, for even the winds and the sea obey him?
He will startle (amaze) (astonish) many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.
He said to them: Why are you afraid, you of little faith? Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea. Suddenly there was a great calm.
His disciples came and wondered why he talked with the woman. Yet no one asked: What are you looking for? Why did you talk to her?
But when the people saw it, they marveled, and glorified God who had given such authority to men.
