I cannot do anything by myself. As I get orders, so I judge, and my judgment is a just one, for I am not trying to do my own will but the will of Him who has sent me.

Not that I am myself qualified to consider anything as coming from me myself. No, my qualification comes from God, for

For if I did go crazy, it was for God's glory; and if I am keeping my head cool, it is for your good.

And if I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to me."

As for me, myself, it is of very little concern to me to be examined by you or any human court; in fact, I do not even examine myself.

Look at my hands and my feet, for it is I, myself. Feel of me and see for yourselves, for a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."

"If I bear witness to myself, my testimony is of no force,

Whoever continues to hold and keep my commands is the one who really loves me, and whoever really loves me will be loved by my Father; yes, I will love him myself and will make myself real to him."

I do testify to myself, and the Father who has sent me testifies to me."

And everyone who has this hope in him tries to make himself as pure as He is.

For although my conscience does not accuse me, yet I am not entirely vindicated by that. It is the Lord Himself who must examine me.

Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, such glory amounts to nothing. It is the Father who glorifies me; and you claim that He is your God.

So in my own case, I will most happily spend my money and myself for your sakes. If I love you much more than I love others, am I to be loved less by you?

And if I go and make it ready for you, I will come back and take you to be face to face with me, so that you may always be right where I am.

Jesus answered them, "Even if I do testify to myself, my testimony is true, because I know where I have come from and where I am going. But you do not know where I come from or where I am going.

But now I count as nothing the sacrifice of my life, if only I can finish my race and render the service entrusted to me by the Lord Jesus, of faithfully telling the good news of God's favor.

For none of us can live alone by himself, and none of us can die alone by himself;

But if we properly saw ourselves, we would not bring down upon us this judgment.

for I could wish myself accursed, even cut off from Christ, for the sake of my brothers, my natural kinsmen.

Indeed, I do not understand what I do, for I do not practice what I want to do, but I am always doing what I hate.

Did I do wrong in taking a lowly place to let you have an exalted one, in that I preached the good news about God to you without accepting any pay?

This is because I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who has sent me has given me orders Himself what to say and what to tell.

No one has taken it from me, but I am giving it as a free gift. I have the right to give it and I have the right to take it back. I have gotten this order from my Father."

But I keep on beating and bruising my body and making it my slave, so that I, after I have summoned others to the race, may not myself become unfit to run.

But Peter lifted him to his feet, saying, "Get up, I too am just a man myself."
