"Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye are like white-washed sepulchres, which outwardly, indeed, appear beautiful, but within are full of bones of the dead and of all uncleanness. So ye also outwardly, indeed, appear righteous to men; but within ye are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, 'This people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"

They profess to know God; but by their works they deny Him; being abominable, and disobedient, and for every good work worthless.

"Beware of false prophets, who, indeed, come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves. From their fruits ye shall recognize them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the worthless tree bears evil fruit.read more.
