Do you not know that he who joins himself to a harlot is one with her in body? (For God says, The two shall become one flesh.)

That is how husbands ought to love their wives, as they love their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it as Christ does the church;

The birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. After his mother, Mary, had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.

Do not refuse one another, unless it is only temporary and by mutual consent, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again, lest through your lack of self-control Satan begin to tempt you to sin.

You know, do you not, that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? God forbid! Do you not know that he who joins himself to a harlot is one with her in body? (For God says, The two shall become one flesh.)

But what I wrote was that you were not to associate with any so-called brother who is immoral, or avaricious, or idolatrous, or abusive, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. No, with such persons do not even sit at table.

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. None who are immoral, or idolaters, or adulterers, or catamites, or sodomites,

but her husband is; and in the same way the husband is not master of his own person, but his wife is.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. There is a deep mystery here?? am speaking of Christ and his church.

Do you not know that he who joins himself to a harlot is one with her in body? (For God says, The two shall become one flesh.) While a man who is united with the Lord is one with Him in spirit?
