In those days John the Baptist came into the wilderness of Judea proclaiming, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near!'
He said, "The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the gospel!"

Therefore, although God has overlooked such times of ignorance, he now commands all people everywhere to repent,

Or do you have contempt for the wealth of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, and yet do not know that God's kindness leads you to repentance?

So God again ordains a certain day, "Today," speaking through David after so long a time, as in the words quoted before, "O, that today you would listen as he speaks! Do not harden your hearts."

This is what the Lord says: "At the time I decide to show my favor, I will respond to you; in the day of deliverance I will help you; I will protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, to rebuild the land and to reassign the desolate property.
Seek the Lord while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby! The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the Lord, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.

So the word of the Lord was spreading through the entire region. But the Jews incited the God-fearing women of high social standing and the prominent men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their region. So after they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them, they went to Iconium.
So they began to leave, unable to agree among themselves, after Paul made one last statement: "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiah when he said, 'Go to this people and say, "You will keep on hearing, but will never understand, and you will keep on looking, but will never perceive. For the heart of this people has become dull, and their ears are hard of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them."'read more.
"Therefore be advised that this salvation from God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!"
Don't you say, 'There are four more months and then comes the harvest?' I tell you, look up and see that the fields are already white for harvest!
He said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
because a door of great opportunity stands wide open for me, but there are many opponents.
Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunities.
But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.
