8 Bible Verses about Patriarchs

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils,

Moses gave you circumcision, (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers) and ye circumcise a man on the sabbath.

And he gave him the covenant of circumcision, and so he begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day, and Isaac Jacob, and Jacob the twelve patriarchs. And the patriachs moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt; but God was with him,

Whose are the fathers, and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is, over all, God, blessed for ever.

With regard to the gospel, they are enemies for your sake; but as for the election, they are beloved, for the sake of their fathers.

Now I say, Christ Jesus was a servant of the circumcision, for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers:

Men and brethren, I may say to you freely of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is among us to this day.
