now without faith it is impossible to be acceptable to him: for he that presents himself to God, cannot but believe he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who make their addresses to him.

If we say that we are without sin, we deceive ourselves, and have no regard to truth. if we confess our sins, as he is faithful and just, he will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all iniquity.
