and this is the reward that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written to you concerning those that would seduce you. but as the unction which ye have received from him, abides in you, you don't need any instruction: being then fully instructed by his unction, which is true and not fallacious, adhere to what that has taught you. adhere to that, my dear children, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

which consideration persuades me that I shall abide, and even continue some time with you all, to improve your advancement in the faith, and to promote your joy:

I hope therefore to send him to you as soon as I find what turn my affairs shall take: nay, I trust in the Lord, that I myself too shall visit you very soon.

for we are the genuine sons of Abraham, who worship God in the spiritual manner, and value no other dependance than that on Jesus Christ, without confiding in any external advantages: which I might do more justly than any other man can pretend to:
