After them all, the woman died. Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her." But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. But as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God, 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living." And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at his teaching. But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, to test him. "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the great and first commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus answered, "Do you say this on your own, or did others say it to you about me?" Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me; what have you done?"read more.
Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now my kingship is not from here." Pilate said to him, "You are a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say what I ama king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice." Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" After he had said this, he went out to the Jews again, and told them, "I find no crime in him.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" He called to him a little child, and put him in the midst of them, and he said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.read more.
Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in my name receives me. "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

So when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?"

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, "What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "The son of David." He said to them, "How is it then that David, inspired by the Spirit, calls him 'Lord', saying,read more.
