12 Bible Verses about Reasons Why The World Hates Christians

And you will be hated by all men, because you bear my name, but whoever bears up to the end will be saved.

If the world continues to hate you, remember that it has first hated me.

You faithless wives! Do you not know that the friendship of the world means enmity with God? So whoever wants to be a friend to the world puts himself down as an enemy to God.

At that time they will turn you over to torture, and will murder you, and you will be hated by all the heathen, because you bear my name.

And the ground for the sentence is this, that the light has come into the world, and yet, because their actions were evil, men have loved darkness more than the light.

Have I then turned into an enemy to you, because I tell you the truth?

For the message of the cross is nonsense to those who are in the process of being destroyed, but it is the power of God to those who are in the process of being saved.

For, as the Scripture says, the name of God is abused among the heathen because of you.

"Blessed are those who suffer persecution for being and doing right, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. "Blessed are you when people abuse you, and persecute you, and keep on falsely telling all sorts of evil against you for my sake. Keep on rejoicing and leaping for ecstasy, for your reward will be rich in heaven; for this is the way they persecuted the prophets who lived before you.
