And, that I might not be exalted overmuch by the exceeding greatness of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I might not be exalted overmuch. Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He hath said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you; for My power is made perfect in weakness."
