But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness attained it not.

And some of the pharisees who were present, heard these words, and said to Him, Are we blind also? Jesus replied, If ye were blind, ye would not have sin: but now ye say, We see; your sin therefore remaineth.

for this reason I speak to them in parables; because though they see, they will not see; and though they hear, they will not hear, nor understand.

And He said, To you it is granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but I speak to others in parables, that in seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.
