On tbe first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say to him, The Master saith, My time is at hand: I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. When the evening was come, he sat down with the twelve. And as they ate he said, Verily I say to you, One of you will betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful and began each of them to say to him, Lord, Is it I? And he answering said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same will betray me. The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but wo to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas who betrayed him answering said, Master, Is it I? He saith to him, Thou hast said. And after they had eaten, Jesus took bread and blessed and brake and gave it to his disciples and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it. For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins. I say to you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, till the day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. And when they had sung the hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

And as they ate, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. And he took the cup, and having given thanks, gave it them, and they all drank of it. And he said to them, This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many.

Then shall ye say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

And he took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood which is shed for you.

He that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever, and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

But Jesus said to them, Verily, verily I say unto you, unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.read more.
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father, so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing his hour was come to pass out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end. And they continued stedfast in the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.

And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking the bread at home, they ate their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added daily to the church those who were saved.

The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, being many, are one bread, and one body; for we are all partakers of the one bread.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Therefore when ye come together into one place, it is not eating the Lord's supper. For in eating every one taketh before another his own supper, and one is hungry, another drinks largely. What! have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or do ye despise the church of God, and shame them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this?read more.
I praise you not. For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus the night in which he was betrayed, took bread, And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat, this is my body, which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of me. In like manner also he took the cup after he had supped, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: do this as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. Therefore as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye shew forth the Lord's death, till he come. So that whosoever shall eat the bread and drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. Therefore let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not distinguishing the Lord's body. For this cause many are sick and weak among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait one for another. And if any one be hungry, let him eat at home, that ye come not together to condemnation. And the rest I will set in order when I come.
