And he said, That which cometh out of a man, that defileth a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, come forth evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, covetousness, iniquities, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.read more.
All these evil things come from within, and defile a man.
Wherefore God also gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to debase their bodies with one another;
And when he is come, he will bring conviction to the world, of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
And when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what must we do?

Those on the rocky ground are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root; and for a while they believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
For it is impossible that those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and been make partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, and have fallen away, should again be renewed to repentance, since they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to open shame.read more.
