For Moses truly said to the fathers, A Prophet will the Lord your God raise up to you, of your brethren, like me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatever he shall say to you.

The LORD thy God will raise up to thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like to me; to him ye shall hearken.

But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shall be thrust down to hell. He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.

Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

If there shall arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and give thee a sign or a wonder. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one shall rise from the dead.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear to me, ye that have knowledge. For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth food.

Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me.

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them who are sanctified.

Knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

And if ye are Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if we suffer with him, that we may be glorified together.

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall inherit salvation?

Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

But that on the good ground are they, who in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called, The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the way-faring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

Set thee up way-marks, make thee high heaps: set thy heart towards the highway, even the way which thou wentest; turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
