And as we were all fallen prostrate on the earth, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saving in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is difficult for thee to kick against the goads.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, but all the members of that one body, though many, are one body: so also is Christ.

For as we have in one body many members, but the members, though many, have not the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one reciprocally members of each other. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

and hath put all things under his feet, and hath appointed him head over all to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

So ought husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: for we are the members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

And let the peace of God set up its throne in your hearts, whereunto also ye have been called in one body; and be ye thankful.
