'Await' in the Bible
He said to another, “Follow Me [accepting Me as Master and Teacher].” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
and, being assembled with them, commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to await the promise of the Father, which said he ye have heard of me.
But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
only that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city, saying that bonds and tribulations await me.
having a hope in God which these [men] also themselves await: [that] there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
But it cannot be denied that all that the Law says is addressed to those who are living under the Law, in order that every mouth may be stopped, and that the whole world may await sentence from God.

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
