'Enemy' in the Bible
"You have heard that it was said, "You must love your neighbor' and hate your enemy.
While people were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.
"He told them, "An enemy did this!' "The servants asked him, "Do you want us to go and pull them out?'
The enemy who sowed them is the Devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
and said, "You're full of every form of deception and trickery, you son of the Devil, you enemy of all that is right! You'll never stop perverting the straight ways of the Lord, will you?
But "if your enemy is hungry, feed him. For if he is thirsty, give him a drink. If you do this, you will pile burning coals on his head."
The last enemy to be done away with is death,
So have I now become your enemy for telling you the truth?
Yet, don't treat him like an enemy, but warn him like a brother.
Therefore, I want younger widows to remarry, have children, manage their homes, and not give the enemy any chance to ridicule them.
You adulterers! Don't you know that friendship with the world means hostility with God? So whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy of God.
