'Envy' in the Bible

Davidic.Do not be agitated by evildoers;do not envy those who do wrong.

Why gaze with envy, you mountain peaks,at the mountain God desired for His dwelling?The Lord will live there forever!

Don’t envy a violent manor choose any of his ways;

Don’t envy evil menor desire to be with them,

Don’t be agitated by evildoers,and don’t envy the wicked.

Their love, their hate, and their envy have already disappeared, and there is no longer a portion for them in all that is done under the sun.

Ephraim’s envy will cease;Judah’s harassment will end.Ephraim will no longer be envious of Judah,and Judah will not harass Ephraim.

For he knew they had handed Him over because of envy.

They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,

To be sure, some preach Christ out of envy and strife, but others out of good will.

he is conceited, understanding nothing, but has a sick interest in disputes and arguments over words. From these come envy, quarreling, slander, evil suspicions,

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.

But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t brag and deny the truth.

For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil.

So rid yourselves of all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander.
