'Flooded' in the Bible
For my sins have flooded over my head;they are a burden too heavy for me to bear.
The rivers have flooded, LORD; the rivers have spoken aloud, the rivers have lifted up their crushing waves.
Then the flood waters would have overwhelmed us, the torrent would have flooded over us;
Water flooded over my head,and I thought: I’m going to die!
The overflowing forces will be flooded away before him and shattered, and also the prince of the covenant.
Surely the land will tremble because of this, won't it? And all who live in it will mourn, won't they? The entire land will swell up like a flooded river. It will be stirred up and then will sink like the river of Egypt.

And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people),
and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].
Through these waters the world of that time perished when it was flooded.
