'Grant' in the Bible
He said to him, “Behold, I grant you this request also, not to overthrow the town of which you have spoken.
He said, “O Lord, the God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today, and show lovingkindness to my master Abraham.
and may God Almighty grant you compassion in the sight of the man, so that he will release to you your other brother and Benjamin. And as for me, if I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.”
I will grant this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when you go, you will not go empty-handed.
I shall also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with no one making you tremble. I shall also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land.
“At the end of every seven years you shall grant a remission of debts.
May the Lord grant that you may find rest, each in the house of her husband.” Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept.
