'High' in the Bible

Let the assembly of peoples gather around You;take Your seat on high over it.

I will thank the Lord for His righteousness;I will sing about the name of Yahweh the Most High.

I will rejoice and boast about You;I will sing about Your name, Most High.

The Lord thundered from heaven;the Most High projected His voice.

He reached down from heavenand took hold of me;He pulled me out of deep waters.

For the king relies on the Lord;through the faithful love of the Most Highhe is not shaken.

For He will conceal me in His shelterin the day of adversity;He will hide me under the cover of His tent;He will set me high on a rock.

There is a river—its streams delight the city of God,the holy dwelling place of the Most High.

For Yahweh, the Most High, is awe-inspiring,a great King over all the earth.

both low and high,rich and poor together.

On high, He summons heaven and earthin order to judge His people.

Sacrifice a thank offering to God,and pay your vows to the Most High.

I call to God Most High,to God who fulfills His purpose for me.

For Your faithful love is as high as the heavens;Your faithfulness reaches the clouds.

I call to You from the ends of the earthwhen my heart is without strength.Lead me to a rock that is high above me,

They only plan to bring him downfrom his high position.They take pleasure in lying;they bless with their mouths,but they curse inwardly.Selah

The wicked say, “How can God know?Does the Most High know everything?”

So I say, “I am grievedthat the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

But they continued to sin against Him,rebelling in the desert against the Most High.

They remembered that God was their rock,the Most High God, their Redeemer.

But they rebelliously tested the Most High God,for they did not keep His decrees.

They enraged Him with their high placesand provoked His jealousy with their carved images.

I said, “You are gods;you are all sons of the Most High.

May they know that You alone—whose name is Yahweh—are the Most High over all the earth.

And it will be said of Zion,“This one and that one were born in her.”The Most High Himself will establish her.

You have a mighty arm;Your hand is powerful;Your right hand is lifted high.

You have lifted high the right hand of his foes;You have made all his enemies rejoice.

The one who lives under the protection of the Most Highdwells in the shadow of the Almighty.

Because you have made the Lord—my refuge,the Most High—your dwelling place,

A psalm. A song for the Sabbath day.It is good to praise Yahweh,to sing praise to Your name, Most High,

Greater than the roar of many waters—the mighty breakers of the sea—the Lord on high is majestic.

For You, Lord,are the Most High over all the earth;You are exalted above all the gods.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,so great is His faithful lovetoward those who fear Him.

The high mountains are for the wild goats;the cliffs are a refuge for hyraxes.

because they rebelled against God’s commandsand despised the counsel of the Most High.

Who is like Yahweh our God—the One enthroned on high,

Reach down from heaven;rescue me from deep water, and set me freefrom the grasp of foreigners
