'Nation' in the Bible

Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

I have heard the reproaches of Moab and the scorning of the {Ammonites}, [with] which they have taunted my nation and made boasts against their territory.

Therefore, as I live—this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts,the God of Israel—Moab will be like Sodomand the Ammonites like Gomorrah—a place overgrown with weeds,a salt pit, and a perpetual wasteland.The remnant of My people will plunder them;the remainder of My nation will dispossess them.

And crouched in her midst have droves, Every beast of the nation, Both pelican and hedge-hog in her knobs lodge, A voice doth sing at the window, 'Destruction is at the threshold, For the cedar-work is exposed.'
