'Princes' in the Bible

All her beauty and majestyHave departed from the Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem).Her princes have become like deerThat have found no pasture;They have fled without strengthBefore the pursuer.

Her gates have sunk into the ground;He has destroyed and broken her bars.Her king and her princes are [exiled] among the nations;The law is no more.Also, her prophets no longer findVision from the Lord.

Her princes were purer than snow,They were whiter than milk [in appearance];They were more ruddy in body than rubies,Their polishing was like lapis lazuli (sapphire).

Princes were hung by their hands;Elders were not respected.
