Give due honor to all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

For God commanded saying, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, He that revileth father or mother, let him be put to death: but ye say, If any man say to his father or mother, "that which thou mightest be profited by from me is a gift to the temple," and so honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. And thus have ye made void the commandment of God by your tradition.

And when He had laid his hands on them, he departed thence.

And they brought to Him little children that He might touch them: and the disciples rebuked those that brought them. Which Jesus observing, was much displeased, and said to them, Let the children come to me; and hinder them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall by no means enter into it.read more.

(for if any one know not how to govern his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) not one newly converted, least being puffed up he fall into the condemnation of the devil. He ought also to have an honorable testimony from those that are without, least he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. And we entreat you, brethren, to respect those that labour among you, and preside over you in the Lord, and instruct you;

Be ruled by those that are your guides, and submit to them: for they watch for your souls; (as those that must give an account) that they may do it with joy and not with uneasiness: for this were unprofitable for you.

Do not chide a senior, but exhort him as a father; and younger men as brethren: the elder women as mothers, the younger as sisters, with all purity.
