'Sheep' in the Bible

Sheep and cattle all of them, wild creatures of the field,

You handed us over to be slaughtered like sheep and you scattered us among the nations.

For your sake we are being killed all day long. We are thought of as sheep to be slaughtered.

Like sheep, they are destined for the realm of the dead, with death as their shepherd. The upright will have dominion over them in the morning; their strength will be consumed in the afterlife, so that they have no home.

The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are covered with grain. They shout for joy; yes, they burst out in song! To the Director: A song. A Psalm.

Why, God? Have you rejected us forever? Your anger is burning against the sheep of your pasture.

Yet he led out his people like sheep, guiding them like a flock in the desert.

He brought him from birthing sheep to care for Jacob, his people, Israel, his possession.
