'Spoken' in the Bible
God, having spoken in former times in fragmentary and varied fashion to our forefathers by the prophets,
has in these last days spoken to us by a Son whom he appointed to be the heir of everything and through whom he also made the universe.
because if the message spoken by angels was reliable, and every violation and act of disobedience received its just punishment,
even though his actions had been finished since the creation of the world. Somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day as follows: "On the seventh day God rested from all his actions,"
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken later about another day.
For after every commandment in the Law had been spoken to all the people by Moses, he took the blood of calves and goats, together with some water, scarlet wool, and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people,
to a trumpet's blast, or to a voice that made the hearers beg that not another word be spoken to them.
Remember your leaders, those who have spoken God's word to you. Think about the impact of their lives, and imitate their faith.
