'Themselves' in the Bible

not giving heed to Jewish fables and commands of men, turning themselves away from the truth;

to be sensible and pure, to manage their households, to be kind, and to submit themselves to their husbands. Otherwise, the word of God may be discredited.

bondmen to be subject to their own masters, to make themselves acceptable in everything; not gainsaying;

not stealing [things, regardless of value], but proving themselves trustworthy, so that in every respect they will adorn and do credit to the teaching of God our Savior.

This saying is trustworthy. I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone.
