'Turn' in the Bible

And the messengers turn back unto him, and he saith unto them, 'What is this -- ye have turned back!'

And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

and they turn back unto him -- and he is abiding in Jericho -- and he saith unto them, 'Did I not say unto you, Do not go?'

Nevertheless, Joram clung to the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit. He did not turn away from them.

The Israelites persisted in all the sins that Jeroboam committed and did not turn away from them.

He remained faithful to Yahweh and did not turn from following Him but kept the commands the Lord had commanded Moses.
