'Acquire' in the Bible

A wise man will hear and increase in learning,And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,

Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

Wisdom is of utmost importance, therefore get wisdom, and with all your effort work to acquire understanding.

The naive [are unsophisticated and easy to exploit and] inherit foolishness,But the sensible [are thoughtful and far-sighted and] are crowned with knowledge.

Get wisdom—how much better it is than gold!And get understanding—it is preferable to silver.

An intelligent {mind} will acquire knowledge, and the ear of the wise will seek knowledge.

Acquire truth and do not sell it -- wisdom, and discipline, and understanding.
