'Baptizing' in the Bible

But when John saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he told them, "You children of serpents! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

I am baptizing you with water as evidence of repentance, but the one who is coming after me is stronger than I am, and I am not worthy to carry his sandals. It is he who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Therefore, as you go, disciple people in all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit,

John was baptizing in the wilderness, proclaiming a baptism about repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

This happened in Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

I didn't recognize him, but I came baptizing with water so that he might be revealed to Israel."

After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside. He spent some time there with them and began baptizing.

John was also baptizing in Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there. People kept coming and were being baptized,

so they went to John and told him, "Rabbi, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, the one about whom you testified look, he's baptizing, and everyone is going to him!"

Now when Jesus realized that the Pharisees had heard he was making and baptizing more disciples than John

although it was not Jesus who did the baptizing but his disciples

Then he went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and he remained there.
