'Cruel' in the Bible

You will send destruction on those whose words are false; the cruel man and the man of deceit are hated by the Lord.

O Lord my God, I put my faith in you; take me out of the hands of him who is cruel to me, and make me free;

You have made clear your strength even out of the mouths of babies at the breast, because of those who are against you; so that you may put to shame the cruel and violent man.

The evil-doer in his pride is cruel to the poor; let him be taken by the tricks of his invention.

Be my saviour from the lion's mouth; let me go free from the horns of the cruel oxen.

O Lord, God of my salvation, I have been crying to you for help by day and by night:

Because he had no mercy, but was cruel to the low and the poor, designing the death of the broken-hearted.

Make me free from the cruel rule of man; then I will keep your orders.

Rulers have been cruel to me without cause; but I have the fear of your word in my heart.
