'Defiant' in the Bible

‘For he adds rebellion [in his unsubmissive, defiant attitude toward God] to his [unacknowledged] sin;He claps his hands among us [in open mockery and contempt of God],And he multiplies his words [of accusation] against God.’”

Rise up, Lord! Don't let men be defiant! May the nations be judged in your presence!

She is loud and defiant;her feet do not stay at home.

You will no longer see a defiant people whose language you do not comprehend, whose derisive speech you do not understand.

But to Israel he says: All day long I have spread out My hands to a disobedient and defiant people.

Therefore a defiant spirit in such a case provokes not man but God, who puts His Holy Spirit into your hearts.
