'Demon' in the Bible
"At that time," declares the LORD of the Heavenly Armies, "I will eliminate the names of the idols from the land, and they will not be remembered anymore. I will also force both prophet and demon to leave the land.
As soon as the demon had been driven out, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed and said, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!"
Because John didn't come eating or drinking, yet people say, "He has a demon!'
Then Jesus rebuked the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed that very hour.

because Jesus was in the process of ordering the unclean spirit to come out of the man. On many occasions the unclean spirit had seized the man, and though he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, he would break the chains and be driven by the demon into deserted places.
Even while the boy was coming, the demon knocked him to the ground and threw him into convulsions. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
Jesus was driving a demon out of a man who was unable to talk. When the demon had gone out, the man began to speak, and the crowds were amazed.
The crowd answered, "You have a demon! Who is trying to kill you?"
The Jewish leaders replied to him, "Surely we're right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon, aren't we?"
Jesus answered, "I don't have a demon. On the contrary, I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
Then the Jewish leaders told him, "Now we really know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and so did the prophets, but you say, "If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.'
Many of them were saying, "He has a demon and is insane. Why bother listening to him?"
Others were saying, "These are not the words of a man who is demon-possessed. A demon cannot open the eyes of the blind, can it?"
