'Desires' in the Bible
If the man said to him, They will immediately burn the fat entire, then take as thy soul desires; he would say to him, No, but thou shalt give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.
Indeed, the LORD won't abandon His people for the sake of His great name, for the LORD desires to make you a people for himself.
Then Saul replied, “Say this to David: ‘The king desires no other bride-price except 100 Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.’” Actually, Saul intended to cause David’s death at the hands of the Philistines.
Then Jonathan said to David, "Whatever your soul desires, I will even do it for you."
