'Eye' in the Bible
Mine eye wasteth away through grief; it hath grown old because of all mine oppressors.
Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Be gracious unto me, Jehovah, for I am in trouble: mine eye wasteth away with vexation, my soul and my belly.
I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.
Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his loving-kindness,
Let not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; let them not wink with the eye that hate me without cause.
And they opened their mouth wide against me; they said, Aha! aha! our eye hath seen it.
For he hath delivered me out of all trouble; and mine eye hath seen its desire upon mine enemies.
Mine eye consumeth by reason of affliction. Upon thee, Jehovah, have I called every day; I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
And mine eye shall see its desire on mine enemies; mine ears shall hear it of the evil-doers that rise up against me.
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?
